2-1/2 miles @ 5º incline. [5 mph]= 5 ÷ 60 = .0833333333333333333 X [30min.] 30 = 2.5
The incline has nothing to do with miles.
(5 ÷ 60 = .083333333333333333) X 30 = 2.5

it is 2.5 miles but with the incline you will increase your heart rate as if you were running up hill.... i am looking for the machine with the -5 incline because i'd rather run downhill so my behind being big can actually work for me.

You're running 2.5 miles and the incline only makes your body work harder, it won't add more miles.
