I currently have about 10 hd channels and there is nothing interesting on. Dish network has a lot of good channels and comcast is adding more. When will directv join in?

According to DirecTV, they plan to carry 100 national networks in HD by the end of 2007. It's a matter of getting satellites in space to support the load.

If you don't want to wait, there's always the broadcast digital multicasts, or you could switch to the aforementioned Dish Network or Comcast. No one's stopping you.

Soon. See, the problem is there's no big demand for HD due in large part to the high cost of the HDTVs. I would think that soon though, these prices will begin to fall. Once they do, and the HDTV set is a more common household fixture, many and eventually all stations will broadcast in HD format. (Until something better comes along, which it will!)
