It is NOT possible to upgrade from ME to XP. It requires a FULL install.

You know I don't know if you can go from ME to XP. From what I have been told, ME and 98 are on the same Operating System, but 2000 and XP are the same. I believe you can up grade from the later 2, but not ME. Not for sure though.

never do an update.. always f disk format and install fresh .. no updates ever work good and the best is a full copy install.
