At about 2am yesterday morning i was awaken by my daughter laughing in her room. I went in there to find her sitting on her floor in the dark laughing at her doll. I practically had to yell her name to get her attention. She had cut the dolls stomach open, stuffed it with spegetti and was pulling it out. I screamed at first thinking her hands were bloody but it was just sauce. She told me a little boy named lucy took the spegetti out of the trash and helped her make the doll to show how he died. I am completely freaking out. I dont allow her to watch horror movies so I cant imagine where she got the idea. I dont know who to talk, would a church be appropiate? We do not attend. Please help

I would suggest a child psychologist.

I would say that she was likely playing but if you really are that worried I would suggest seeing a doctor.

I am a Catholic with a good understanding of Church procedure and if you are illuding that your daughter may be having some spiritual battle I'll say 2 things.

1. The Catholics are who people go to for these matters, even most protestants will eventually get Catholic help with a true possession (the Exorcist was based on a real case in St. Louis, it was a protestant boy and they had to get a Catholic exorcist to repel the demon).

2. You can always talk to a priest, but they will require you see a doctor (likely several doctors) before anything more intensive than just giving her a blessing. Exorcisms are serious deals and only done once it is clear that this isn't some mental disease or social trama.

Tracy whether you attend church or not you need to find a spiritual advisor as well as a doctor, there is something wrong she has been around someone at sometime that has either shown her some of these movies or spoke to her about some evil teachings,i think i would as soon as possible get her to a doctor to make sure there is nothing wrong there and definitely find someone that knows the bible and pray for her constantly, never cease in prayer.............God be with you and her

the part about the ficticious little boy named lucy who wanted to show her how he died...that's the creepy part. The spaghetti in the dolls stomach wouldnt' be so bad except for the imaginary accomplice.
Therefore, I would say keep an eye on her and see if she continues chumming around with this fake kid.
Get her interested in other things and get her out of the house more often.
Shrinks would be a bad idea. They will probably make her worse.

Children have keener senses than we do and are more "tuned" in to the other side. Your daughter was probably talking to a gentle spirit who was simply showing how he died, just like she said, after all, why would she lie if she knows nothing about things like that. No need to consult a church, they'll probably say she's possessed or something, and all it is is her having a simple conversation with a spirit. You should ask her more, you'll be surprised by what she says.

Try using the parental control on cable TV first and then dump the editor's cut of the Exorcist.

I am a CHristian and I think that you and she should be attending church but I believe that she may need some psychological counseling at this point. It is possible that the school psychologist may be able to talk with her and give you some idea about what is going on with her. Get to some help ASAP. She does not need for you to sit on the fence at this point. I would visit with a small local church and begin BIBLE STUDIES with them. I hope that things improve soon.

Yes, you need to get help for your daughter. She is only 10 years old and probably did not get such a thought on her own. Ask your family doctor to refer you to a therapist, and if that doesn't work, you should go and see the nearest Catholic Priest. THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER!!! Do not hesitate.

She needs to be observed for awhile in a mental hospital. May God be with you this during these troubling times.

I would find a Catholic priest and ask him about it. It may just be some strange fantasy or dream, but I would talk to a religious authority for the peace of mind.
