I saw it on Friday night. Looking to the West, it was spectacular - its tail was about two hands long.

I'm not sure if the rest of Oz can see it. I haven't seen it the last 2 nights but there has been cloud cover. If it's still around those in the Gold Coast or Brisbane regions may be able to see it. It's worth checking out.

If anyone has anything further to add about the comet, that would be awesome

Hi qtg - me too! We dubbed it "Halley's Snowball" it looked so fuzzy and small". This one makes Halley look like a speck of space dust.

I'm in NSW on the east coast and we could see it for quite a few days, although it's position in the sky varied as the days went on. The best time to see it was from dusk to about 9pm.

It certainly was an awe inspiring sight and brought back memories of standing on the beach clifftop watching Halley's comet years ago.

If you yahoo answerers haven't seen it yet, keep looking each day. It's kinda more towards the horizon, not straight up in the sky.

It is definately worth a look.

I am in Central Queensland, I have been looking for the comet but have had no luck. It has been very cloudy here, so maybe that is why it is not visible.

Good to hear that it was so spectacular, I am jealous!
