Some girls really have it bad when its that time of the month... unfortunately you and I are one of those few! My cramps were really bad ever since I've had my period (11) but have lessen a bit at 19 (I'm now 20). Every time I would get it, it was like a cycle getting stomach cramps, then getting dizzy, then having to vomit, then passing out for a bit.. imagine that EVERY month for 8 almost 9 years! The doctors put me on birth control as well which I did find to be helpful because it reduced a lot of those symptoms - nausea, fainting spells, really REALLY bad cramps, etc. The only problem with birth control was my schedule was really crazy and I didn't remember to take them every day at the same time. Anyway, after a while I was really getting annoyed by the fact that I had to be bedridden when it was that time. So tried to plan out when exactly when I was going to get it and was literally prepared. I brought with me Midol wherever I went, or extra strength ibuprofen to help reduce the cramping. Also I exercised when I knew I was going to get it the following week. They say that exercising can delay or shorten your period (which I found to be not 100% true) but it did keep my mind of my cramps, lessen my cramp -even by walking back and forth, drinking a lot of water so that I wasn't getting dehydrated and getting nauseas - helped a lot. I also bought this herbal pack/ herbal pillow that you can put over your stomach to help sooth the pain away. I knew that my period was irregular because I never knew anyone who had terrible symptoms as I did. At 19 I had to go to the hospital because I had a ruptured cyst. Cysts are common in women, they form during ovulation then disappears but at times they just stay and grow in your ovaries. They're also more common in women who have irregular period, thus the severe cramps and symptoms. After that whole incident I felt that my symptoms had seized but then again I might have grown out of it. As for infertility... it's a complex subject - some women don't even know they're infertile because they don't get any warning signs or symptoms, while others will know because they've had surgeries where their ovaries had to be taken out because of cysts... so I don't think you have to worry about that. Just make sure you fill your doctor in on everything- if the pills are working, if it's become more irregular, etc. ANYTHING that you may think is worth informing, let them know so that they can give you other medications or ways of dealing with it!

Fainting, head hurting, and vision going blurry are all things that can be cause by migraines. You need to take your to a doctor right away and have her tested for it. Have your tell you how bad the headaches are and where it starts in her head like behind an eye or at the temple. But 1st thing is to take her in, please do not wait. I have been fainting and having blurry/double vision since 5th grade so it has been 11 years and I was not diagnosed with the migraines that have been causing them for me until i was in 11th grade because my parents wouldn't take me in.

There are many possible reasons for these fainting spells. She might be getting too dehydrated, too exhausted or too overheated. There are also more serious things like tumors affecting certain parts of the brain. My neighbor went through a certain type of brain cancer. The signs were bad headaches and he would sometimes pass out. He is fine now and has completely recovered. I'm sorry if I freaked you out. I am just trying to give a well rounded answer.

Please take her to see the doctor as Soon as Possible...insist on MRI and look information about something called "vasovagal syncopes" although is a rare condition is out there and the best physician to contact is a cardiologist together with a neurologist...do this promptly because like another reader said she could get seriously hurt on one of her spells...
hope all is well and blessing to your daughter may the angels always guide and guard her.

You need to take her to a doctor and possibly get a referral for an MRI. She could have something as simple as migraines, or it could be much worse.

Fainting and dizziness are side effects of -buteral type medications, which could be causing it. However, fainting is not something to be taken lightly.

If she is fainting that much, consult a doctor.
There are several reasons a person can faint, and you need to find out why this is happening.
