This depends on how much you actually feel for the other person. I was "IN LOVE" with a woman who was so confused about how she felt about me that we were never really more than friends. This went on for about ten years with me trying to show her how great we were together but it never worked. I reached the point where the only solution was to seperate completely for awhile. But, its not the seperation that does the job, it's the true want to move on. Like I said it was 10 years for me of letting her back in my life and having constant disappointment and I don't wish that on anyone. It's true that it will hurts but it gets better, the thoughts will not appear as often an you can dream/love again. So if its not too late please cut it off and if that person is meant to be in your life in the future GOD will know when to bring them back.

It's a start. The best way to get over someone is to keep your mind busy so it doesn't wander back to that person. Go out and have fun with your other friends.

it might not seem like it at first but, yes. that way talking to them won't let you fall for them all over. and when you're finally over them, turn your attention to someone else so that if you two start talking again there is less of a chance of your crush coming back. hope I helped =)

yes, as long as you are putting yourself in the position to have those feelings that are not returned to you,you are letting yourself get slapped in the face.
the best thing is to distance yourself from the situation.
it might hurt like hell, but it will be worth it in the end.
