Reduce your calorie intake or burn 500-1000 calories per day to lose 1-2 pounds per week. It may also be informative to use a health calculator to estimate how many calories are needed to maintain the current weight. This is helpful when determing how many calories to burn or to cut from your diet.

One pound is equal to 3500 calories. But, if she over exercises, she can become bloated and she wont lose any weight, she will just be exhausted. But it depends on the person to know exactly how many calories to lose.

It really depends on the kind of person she is and what is good for HER. She should contact a doctor for information and then go to the gym. If she over exersises she is exhasted and if she exersises to little she won't lose any weigh both ways.

P.S. 3,500= 1 pound
