My husband bought me the software because I love playing with pictures (adding color, erasing areas, fixing old photographs). I tried figuring out the program on my own, but had a hard time. A good friend of mine is a graphic designer and recommended "Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Classroom in a Book" (that is the version I have, but they have the book for all versions). That is the book she used to learn the software in her college class. It is an amazing book. I am now a whiz with Adobe Photoshop. It is very detailed and illustrated, and it includes a CD tutorial so you can actually practice what you learn in each chapter!!! Lets say you learn to "erase" something, you would actually do an example of lets say "erasing" someone from a pic. You can get the book from amazon. You'll love it, it was a lot of fun. Good Luck!!!
