I knew in the beginning that he didnt want to be her bf but shes like really clingy. She never leaves him alone and is always around. Shes also very rude in public and embarasses him. Her bf is one of my friends and I want to help him.

You can't really help him, except to give him advice and your opinion.
At the end of the day, it is his life, it is what he wants to do.
I know it's hard to watch, as I've got friends myself, where I want to tell them it is not worth it, but taking a step back, it's not my business, it's their lives and the best I can do is to be there for them when they need me.
I know this doesn't help much, but take a step back and look at the picture, it is not your life and they shouldn't live the way you want it to be.

First and foremost mind your business. Unless she held a gun to his head he could have told her no. If he is still with her and allows himself to be embarrassed in public it is a shame but not your business. If he complains to you tell him to dump her or don't complain about it. Never and I mean never get in the middle of someone Else's relationship.

why doesnt he just tell her the truth? he should be like..
listen(name) i think we should stop seeing each other. i just dont think im ready for a relationship. i dont want you to become closer to me and end up getting hurt. i cant do this relationship. im sorry. this is my final decision and nothing you can say will make me change my mind.
make sure he says that its his final decision so she wont be like LETS WORK THROUGH IT. good luck.
