It really depends on where you cut. The most common place to cut is the forearms and wrists. Those are also the only places where I think you'd be asking how to cover up, so I'll assume that's where you're cutting. The simplest solution is wear long sleeves. I know that that's not easy in the summer, though. You can try wearing a light, almost see-through button down type of a shirt over a tanktop, or a light long-sleeve shirt with a short skirt. You can also try wearing arm-warmers with a short-sleeved shirt or tanktop (or 3/4 sleeves if the cuts go up past your elbow). If you mainly cut higher up on your arms, you might be able to cover them with 3/4 sleeves. If you mainly cut your wrists, you can try terrycloth wrist bands, or lots of bracelets.

I know that it's hard to stop cutting. It's probably not something you can do on your own. In order to be ready to stop cutting, you need to address the issues behind it, and learn healthy ways to cope with it, that don't involve hurting yourself. I know I can't force you to do anything, and you probably don't care what I have to say, but please at least consider telling someone you need help. Talk to your parents, or someone at school, and get into counseling. I know that you probably don't really want to deal with it just yet, but the sooner you start to deal with it, the sooner you can stop cutting, and the fewer scars you'll have to worry about hiding for the rest of your life.

I've been a cutter for 14 years. I'm still trying to stop. There are many ways to hide cuts such as; long sleeves, makeup, bracelets, wrist bands, bandages. I could be more specific if I knew where and how much you cut.
Just to warn you though. After 14 years of cutting I have so many scars that I have to keep my arms covered up at all times. I've been hospitalized 27 times including one long term stay at a State Psych. hospital. It gets so addicting that you can't stop. Please think about help because I don't want you to end up like me.
A good website is www.recoveryourlife.com. They won't tell you to stop cutting there. It's just a self-harm support community.

Depends on where the cuts are. I used to do it on my upper thighs so I could still wear short sleeves, but if they are on your arms, long sleeves are usually the popular choice. You can also try covering minor scars with dermablend or a heavy make-up like that.
Just to clarify, I am not condoning the self-injuring lifestyle, but I do know where you are coming from. I'm a recovering cutter and understand what you are going through. If you need to talk to anyone, you can email me at syndie_in_disguise@hotmail.com or you can message me on myspace at myspace.com/indiepal.

You can put a band-aid on a bullet hole, but it won't make it better. If you can't stop on your own, get professional help. You'll be glad you did. Besides, self inflicted scars look terrible!

why hide it? why do you do something that you feel ashamed of? could this be an addition for you? have you thought about getting help so don't have to hide? i hope someone that loves you sees what your doing to your self and can talk you into getting help. there are people out there who can help but you have to want to be helped.

Well my sister used to do that. She would put on a long sleeve shirt and put cotton where she cut.

First seek help. This is not normal behavior. You could really hurt yourself badly.
