I know of poor winners, but what is the deal with poor losers? Last night i was talking to a friend and i had just gotten off of work, and he wanted the Patriots to win, and myself, the colts. All i said to him, after reading his away message on yahoo was "not New Engand's year this year". And he went off on me. Saying that NE is way better than the Colts and how they've won 3 of the last 6 super bowls and such. And that it didn't matter because NE will always be better.

Why are people such poor losers? I mean i didn't say anything to him...i mean i didn't brag about the colts going to the super bowl...

Its all about ego. Years ago a friend/housemate who was still in college (I had dropped out the year before) would go ballistic every time I won a game-didn't matter if it was nintendo, cards, a board game-you name it. He thought he was superior.

As far as sports teams go, same thing-they think they are part of the team, when they are only watching the game because they don't have the ability to play. Essentially, men are little boys.

People are poor losers because they invest their self esteem in a game. It's especially sad when it's a game that they didn't even play in, with a bunch of guys who would probably hate him if they knew him.

Some people are just naturally competitive and make everything a win or lose situation.

That's why they call them fans (fanatics).

Hey, I called it like you, only I did it months ago...Bears vs Colts. read it and weep.
