I am a high school freshman. Since the fifth grade, I pass out (actually have seizures) at the THOUGHT of some things to do with the blood or gore. What is weird is that seeing it usually don't bother me. I have been gutting fish since I was little and even cleaned deere once or twice and it has never even came close to bothering me. Seeing blood in person and getting shots doesn't bother me either. During the times I pass out people are usually talking about blood, first aid stuff, or even talking about the human skelton. To sum it up, I make thoughts go wild in my head.
The big problem is that I am in a Health Science class and I have already almost passed out once. The only way I know how to stop it is to leave the room. I was wanting to know if I would just grow out of it. I also wanted to know how to try to get over it in the mean time. I would like to get over it mainly because I would like to enter into the medical field and this is what is stopping me.

i have had fainting problems for many years. it changes for me. at your age i would pass out complete, usually for fall would wake me up. once i fainted in a chair and went so deep i wet myself. this was very pubic and embarrassing. since then i would have panic attacks where i felt nauseous and dizzy and the fear of fainting was intensified. then i would have attacks where i felt i could breath. i had a great nurse talk me out of it in the hospital, she was very good. it's about changing your focus, if you need to leave and be in a different place have a different focus. that can really help. the problem is the fear of fainting. the more you focus on the negative feelings to more you feel bad.

i fainted at the smallest amount of my own blood or just talking about my blood. now as a mother i have found i can handle alot more. my daughter has had many bloody accidents and i handled it fine. it will change. and there could be something in your life making you feel insecure and this is how it manifest. i would tell your teacher you are having problems and will need to excuse yourself from class. you can get a note from a doctor if the teacher questions this. tell your doctor about it.

Find a therapist and have them give you a mental exercise that will cure your phobia. (and they can be cured, relatively easy)

It really is all in your mind, with some effort you can get rid of it.
Not any different than a fear of anything else. You have to turn it into a harmless thought as opposed to a anxiety inducing thought. A good psychologist will have you right in no time flat.

Do you watch horror movies often? If yes, I think you should lessen it coz devils are everywhere.. Another thing, relax.. free up your mind.. look over the beauties of nature.. unwind..
