In addition to what others have said here, your body will first start breaking down muscles into usable energy. There will be weight loss but it will come in the form of muscle loss and the next time you started eating again your body will cling to every calorie you put in for fear of being starved again.

This is not a good way to lose weight. Try drinking water, eating balanced meals, staying away from soda/coffee/tea/juice from concentrate and getting regular exercise every day. You'll see more weight loss and it will be long lasting loss as opposed to short-term starvation.

It depends on how much weight that person has to lose. But probably about anywhere from 2-10 pounds. I'm no doctor but it makes sense that if the person goes from eating alot everyday to eating nothing then they would lose more than a person who eats next to nothing to begin with. I only know these things from personal experience, but when I don't eat anything for even just one day I start feeling sick and light headed and lazy. Its probably better to eat very little instead of nothing at all.

Depends on your current metabolic rate and level of activity. I think you could lose a about 7-10 pounds most of which would be water weight and fecal matter.
