how do i get rid of this thing on photoshop?

yeaa its really annoying me
its a 1 with a rectangle thing next to it

View > Show > Slices

It's used to show how many pieces you are working with. Web designers will slice up their images into small pieces to have them load up on the page faster.

it is one type of view to edit the picture you deselect the option it goes off dont worry chk out all options you will get an idea

you chk out for back ground options
