Yes! If you're a computer scientist, all trees grow down. ;-)

An atom is made up of sub-atomic particles: neutrons, protons, and electrons. From there, it breaks down further and further. Current theorists think that the truly fundamental entity is a 'string', which is a piece of vibrating energy.
