Christianity, Islam, whatever. Why do they hate gays, people of other religions, etc. Where did this whole "my way's the only way" attitude come from? And why is sex viewed as evil? Sex is healthy.

Your words are thrown about quite carelessly. Disapproving of something is not hate but it suits you to spread it eh?

Modern sects think they have a right to decide what God
is, what he "originally said," how he should speak, who he should love, or not love.

You are right to say that sex is healthy. The old testament
book of The Song of Solomon says so too. Some of them
view sex as evil because they threw away the old english
bible, and made nonsensical paraphrases.

If the bible is true, then no Christian has any "only way"
of their own.
Hatred of "gay people" is not from the bible either.
The whole bible taken together tells me that modern
"protestant, fundamentalism" isn't even biblical any way.
I walked away from that whole crew a long time ago.
I kept the king James bible in spite of them.
I'm still trying to understand parts of it, and i no longer
depend on "mainstream" any thing for help in doing so.
I believe in independent freedom of thought.

Modern? Have you ever heard of the Spanish Inquisition? The Crusades? Are you aware that radical Islamic armies controlled southern Europe (Spain, I believe parts of Italy) many centuries ago? Don't you know that millions of people were burned as witches by Christians in Europe during the middle ages? As bad as things are now, they used to be a whole lot worse. Study some history and find some hope!!!

Once a religion attains a critical mass (enough followers, money, and power) it mutates into belligerency mode. They crave more and more power, money, and followers and began to feed on each other. Sex makes more people. Without restrictions inheritances issues come in to play making for unwanted and often expensive complications. Catholic nuns and priests are supposed to remain celibate to avoid children claiming their worldly possessions. If the followers take resources you lose money which leads to loss of power, and then loss of followers. You must therefore control sex. You say it is evil. Sex can be passed out with marriage as the carrot part of the stick and carrot operation.

It's all about control over the willfully ignorant.

They hate gays because gays don't reproduce and create more people for them to control.

Other religions are "the competition".

Sex is considered evil since it's a natural urge and most mainstream religions want to fight everything that's natural.

Why indeed...I have yet to figure out the whole sex thing. Of course they all seem to love gratuitous violence. You are free to maim the human body...but don't ever pleasure it....oooh that's bad.

There's something deep, dark and twisted at the root of humanity.

You would think that religion would be a redemptive thing, but all too often it is used to ID those who don't believe, think, live, or do as we want them to.

They are not modern. They did lot of voilence in the past, one religion has changed a lot and the other is still persisting the same attitude.
In the near future, it will also become humane to sustain the liberal thinkers.

Study some religious history....religion has ALWAYS been intolerant. If anything, modern religion has loosened up a lot.
