we have only been here for about 75,000 years in total as mankind and already we know so little of it. how is it we are going to survive the next 75,000 years the way we are going? ex .global warming,pollution,etc,etc,or do you think earth can take on us as a little problem as the dinosuars?

Clearly, the oil supply alone will not continue to be used at the current rate. Nor will population growth be sustainable over that long term.

However, because we are a supposedly intelligent species, we will hopefully adapt and overcome obstacles through intelligent new developments (e.g., nuclear fission, sensible population self-control).

In the very long term, we need to reach for the stars, because this is one tiny planet.
