RE:
does anyone know of a french bulldog breeder(S) in the u.k?

There is a site which is very good for locating certain breeds and breeders in the UK.
www.epups.co.uk
www.epupz.co.uk
Its free to register and you don't even have to register to look through the ads. If you want contact details you'll have to register though.

They only let the breeders advertise if the breed itself is legal in the UK.
You may find that the French Bulldog is a rare one in the UK and will prove difficult to find!
Perhaps one of the breeders that advertise another breed vaguely similar could help you.

A lovely breed and excellent family dog. Those considering the purchase of a French Bulldog would be well advised to ask what disorders breeders are testing for, and beware of any breeder who cavalierly states that "They don't have any of those problems in *their* lines.
There are several congenital diseases and conditions that French Bulldogs are prone to, although they are still considered among the healthiest of the Bull Breeds. You need to research them a little so you are aware of what to ask for.

Try here for a good source of information that is Breed specific.

Apart from the ePupz site, already mentioned
http://www.epupz.co.uk/search/puppies_for_sale.asp?breed=Bulldog+%28French%29&area=all&st=5&Submit=Search+++

you could also try Champdogs - you don't have to register on this site to get the contact details & I think it is used by people who also show their dogs:
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_french-bulldog.html

There's also the Kennel Club website:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/cgi-bin/item.cgi?id=202&d=pg_dtl_art_news&h=238&f=0
they hold a Puppy Register & have links to breeders & breed clubs.

They're running an Accredited Breeder Scheme - see here for what that means:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/cgi-bin/item.cgi?id=203&d=pg_dtl_art_news&h=238&f=0

Hope these links also help

Always look at the kennel club site for an accredited breeder of any dog.

Also look at epupz, vivastreet, puppy.co.uk
they all have breeders that sell in UK.
