I've had a couple of co-workers run into trouble (ie, longer stay with the INS) when they were going through the standard list of questions with Customs, and I was just wondering if there are any answers they need to shy away from.

Other than the new passport requirement. Are there restrictions on the type of business, or the type of business activity that foreigners can engage in when visiting the US.

the previous answers are incorrect
you do not need a passport to cross the border
if you are driving across (not until 2008)
but if you are flying you do need a passport

you may not be allowed to leave your state with a charge still pending (much less enter Canada)
you should check with a lawyer

Well as of today, everyone will need a passport to enter into the US. Even US citizens.

Just don't forget your passport...that's a new requirement.
