Generally speaking, most believers believe that god is a being, so that means it's a thing, rather than a process or a system. If we conclude that god is a process, we are likely to ask our selves who or what started this process. According to St. Anselm, god is "a being than which nothing greater can be conceived". So by that definition, we may conclude that god is likely to be a being who cause the system or process.
The idea of god is really affected by man's religious system or philosophies. Primitive people, out of fear and admiration towards the natural phenomena, had believed in different spirits and gods. Now these spirit are mostly "things" rather than ideas or systems. Our ancestors worship trees, streams, lightning, storm, winds, the sun, all other terrestrial phenomena and every act of nature. Today there here are many ideas about "god". Most classical theists believe on an anthropomorphic god-concept. Classical theism began when humans transfer to these gods, sex and form as well as the physical and mental characteristics of human beings. Human attributes were given to the gods: love, hate, jealousy, fear, pride, envy and other emotions found among human beings and the gods were given the job of looking after human morality and salvation, thus creating a "Personal God" concept.
Other believers use god as a metaphor on something which is beyond human. Or if something is more superior than human. For example, pantheists believe that Nature is the same as god or that god is a metaphor of nature.
Others thought of god as an abstract principle. The God of Philosophers is a much more abstract principle. They believe an abstract First Cause, or original spirit. One good example of this thought came from Aristotle. For them, god is that next to which nothing higher can be postulated. So the God of Philosophers is often so abstract.

God is the hero of a very long confusing book. Therefore a thing . this thing was put in place to give other people power over our lives so that we may live the way they think we should. It was also put there to give the hopeless something to look forward to in the end.

God is a system of an up. He plays air guitar when good people win and he grabs the celestial swatter and randomly smacks bad people.

You need to lay off the drugs and try living in the real world for awhile. If you truly want to know about God, then quit thinking you already know all you need to know and dismiss the possibility there is a God. Find a good Christian church (I would suggest Catholic Church ) and study what they believe. Then and only then could you make an informed decision about what true FAITH is all about. "The truth will set you free "

God is a loving spirit, that seeks his family members seeking him, trusting him. Almighty God with a much lager capacity to love, and that hurts, God expresses what he feels. And his power is unlimited, and if it's un-calculated, his power can wipe the face of this world off the map.

God is a spirit that will come back someday to get all of his discipline people who abides by his word, and who gave themselves up in the flesh to have everlasting eternal life with him. But you must be obediant, and give up the world in order to have eternal life. you cannot straddell the fence. It's either you live for the devil or you live for him, and you must treat people right.

Non-created being.
we are in the image of God.
He can't be that different.
He's not a floating wisp of spirit; he has emotion and a mind, he has a heart capable of love, compassion, etc, and he acts and intercedes on Earth when his children cry out to him.
Unless you are reffering to Tom Cruise.
He's an actor.
