Why is it wrong to cheat?

I personally would never cheat on a boyfriend, but I don't really understand why peole think it is so wrong.
I mean if you are married for so long, i can see getting a little bored of each other, so why not mix it up? or what about those kind of people who are like, Oh my god did you just look at him?!

If you're still at the boyfriend stage of life, and you already "don't understand why people think cheating is so wrong," then you're probably ready for life a few stages down the road, when you indeed do get a little bored . . . if not exactly with each other, with some parts of your social life. That's when one of three things happens -- you stay miserable, you get divorced . . . or you each make "accommodations" for each other . . . you "work it out" in whatever arrangement the two of you can agree on. depends on how you were raised and what your morals are I suppose but cheating to me violates the trust and it is betrayal. people who swing(they still call it that?) well its different for them.
me-personally I have forsaken all others for my girlfriend. we have been together 15 years and guys let me tell you if your woman asks you if you look at other women DONT LIE. women arent stupid, they already know that we do, and if we lie then it makes it worse and hey , women look too, but they have a smoother way of doing it (ya know the kind of way that doesnt involve hurting your neck lol) if you are caught cheating dont tell your woman "honey it meant nothing" or the infamous "Honey I never meant to hurt you". as you may have surmised I am a guyand as a guy I think these are two of the most terrible lies a woman could ever hear

I think it is wrong to cheay because you have told this person you love them and whan you go behind there back and hook up with another person you don't know what damage you go do. As for people who are married if you cheat on you spouse that can turn out very bad. For one you made a promise to love them, care for them, ect. And you makea promise saying til death do you part. So this is so of the reasons I think cheating is wrong.

Marriage is a commitment to each other.Its ment to be a bond that no one can break , something sacred.It's supposed to be the couples responsibility to each other to take care of each others needs.When kids come along into a relationship they are the ones that get hurt the most because of unfaithful adults.This is one reason why there are so many messed up people today because of broken dysfunctional families.

It is because cheating is a very selfish thing to do to someone you claim you love. If you love someone you never want to hurt them. Cheating make you a liar especially if you have chosen to commit yourself to someone. You sound young so hopefully this has never happened to you. When you mature and truly love someone you will understand the devastation that cheating brings to people and their lives. There are some couples who see other people but both people know. Cheating is wrong because it's behind your partners back and testing the love you have. Cheating is just making you unfaithful towards your partner, showing that the love you have isn't real and you shouldn't be together.

why is it wrong to cheat? i can't believe you are truly asking that. first of all adultry is one of the seven deadly sins. second you are at risk for diseases. third it's a trust thing. my ex husband cheated on me and i can't think of anything more degrading than to have had that happen. it made me feel gross even though he's the one that cheated. just to know he had went and slept with someone else then had the nerve to come and lay down with me. that's just disgusting. i've been with the same guy now for 4 years and neither one of us have gotten bored so i can't see getting bored with someone. it's also about respect if you respect someone you shouldn't want to do it.
