As long as you don't eat too many they're not bad and they are delicious!!. They are high in caffeine however (unless they're decaf) Don't throw them out - give them away.

The answer depends on which Mormon you ask. Techincally the Word of Wisdom (Mormon health code) forbids "hot drinks" which were later specified to be coffee and tea. So, by that definition, hot coffee and hot tea are definitely out. If you want to start talking about COLD (or other forms) of coffee and tea, I suppose an argument could be made. Some Mormons will say it is OK, others will not. It comes down to a matter of individual decision. As has been stated, the reason the hot drinks of coffee and tea are forbidden has NOTHING to do with caffeine. Many Mormons partake of caffeine via soda, chocolate, and other foods. The reason hot coffee and tea are forbidden is because the Mormon leaders believe God has said so. If you are a believing Mormon, that is reason enough. I am a life-long active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon).

Caffeine does not affect blood pressure as much as you think. It affects the heart rate, not blood pressure. I would be more worried about the fats and other substances in the chocolate than the caffeine.
If you like them, eat them. Just moderate yourself. Too much of anything is bad for you.

If you have really high b/p and are on medication for it then probaby better not eat them, You have to weigh up how much will it affect you. If you are going to eat 2 or 3 beans a day - I doubted it will have any adverse affect on you (unless of course you also eat a lot of high risk food every day as well). If you sit and watch TV and eat them continually then it will NOT be a good thing.
Enjoy life - in moderation.

Caffeine doesn't affect blood pressure all that much. In fact, if you are on BP meds, caffeine may help you NOT retain fluids b/c it acts as a mild diuretic. Enjoy your coffee beans.
