Azna is coming around very strongly now. She is very strong, and powerful. The world and earth has put her to sleep for many thousands of years yet She has always been there. When you speak the name of the God who loves you, it becomes stronger. All the sightings of the Blessed Mother are actually Azna, Mother God. It doesn't matter what you call Her as She has appeared at Lourdes, Fatima and Guadeloupe. She appears everywhere. She can also appear as anyone and race. Azna is the keeper of the living and of life. This doesn't mean She doesn't have dominion on the Other Side as well, She rules physical life and everything that has to do with humans and human emotions. Like His work, Hers is never done. Your intellect was given to you by Father and your emotions by the Mother.

Of course there is a feminine side to God. Jews have believed this since time immemorial. Jews believe God has both male and female attributes, something like the ying and the yang in Buddist philosophy. The Hebrew word for God's feminine side is Sha-keen-uh. The word is spelled in various ways, because Hebrew doesn't use the Latin alphabet, so the spelling is pretty much left up to the individual translator. But I gave you the phonetic version, so you'll be able to pronounce it correctly, no matter how it's spelled. Orthodox Jews believe God's feminine essence (Sha-keen-uh) descends to earth every Friday night at sundown (Shabbat -- the Jewish Sabbath) and ascends back to Heaven when Shabbat is over, at sundown on Saturday night. That's why some rabbis refer to Shabbat as God's bride.

I suppose there is probably an entire debate about God that could be conencted to this, but I think the question is really much more one about humanity and that we tend to look at things from a perspective that is based on our own little worlds. And because we often make very broad distinctions, we project that up our beliefs of a higher power; gender being one of those base distinctions we all notice and probably have preconceived notions attached to. Thus, we see God to be male or female.
If there is a higher power, it is unlikely to directly be male or female. If so, that would imply that God was the result of procreation of two other parent Gods... and thus an entire species of Gods. That probably contradicts alot of basic beleif right there (especially since sexual reproduction would not work too well when coupled with infinite life spans!).
There is also the issue of God made us (human kind) in God's own image... so is that male? female? Or more likely another issue of the writing of a person usig their own familar frame of reference?

Yes, in Hinduism, there is the concept of Shakti or the female essence of God. Shakti can be a powerful protector or a nurturing mother figure, and has different forms (Lakshmi, Saraswati, Uma, Durga, Kali, etc.).

both a father and a mother deitymust be believed in
all we know is we all are birthed of a mother, but need the conjoining of the father for variety and strength
same could be said about energy, positive, negative as having genders based on effects

While God is referred to as He in the Bible, and as the Father, He is actually shown to fulfill both the male and female image. El Shaddai , sometimes translated to mean "Almighty God", actually has a female component, as "Shad" means "breast". He could be seen as a mothering God. He is also compared to a mother who would not abandon her children. So we refer to Him, and in general He is depicted as masculine, He does have both. He created man and woman in his image.

yes- i would assume there has to be a female side to GOD...for the simple reason that HE created us all to his image and likeness.so there are both male and females on earth...=male and female = GOD.
