you can have fun with this one any fabric can be swagged and draped around a curtain rod and tie backs can be made from toys adhered to brackets .....an example red fabric draped on a rod on the corner of the rod ...medium sized fire tricks can be tied and hung or a picture glued to some heavy cardboard thus making an ornament at each corner...we did this with dinosaurs

I would suggest as a decor something very versatile; If you notice right now he really likes to watch a certain show or play with a certain toy don't jump out there and buy everything in that style... His likes and dislikes are going to change probably within 3-6 months.
Unless of course decorating is something you really like to do and want to make this a project that you help him with as he grows then GO FOR it.
If your just asking where to buy items, The best way I have found is online research first. I look up everything; almost every store has a website. I look up the store and type in what I want. Sometimes online even has a larger selection because they can give you anything that is sold in their stores across the country. Not all stores have the same inventory so you may be able to get something not sold within your local store.

At this age - buy curtains with cartoon characters on them. At age 2 it's really difficult to ask what he really likes. Start with the cartoon characters and when he becomes older - just watch to see what he's interested in and then change the decor again.
