Why can't they just keep their "beliefs" to themselves and mind their own business? Holy crap, it's 2007! Time to come out of the 1200's!

It has nothing to do with christians its about conscience people should not kill another for someone else's mistake why make a child suffer? I understand that some people get raped and want to abort the baby but still you should not kill any child.

Hey it's not just christians who get uptight about abortion..it is also many atheists, non believers and people from every other belief or religion. Besdes, you want us to all min our own business on this and other things..than what makes you think it is your business either? Isn't there freedom in your country? If people cannot have different opinions..or care about things differently then how about we all become robots..do you have any suggestions on how we can do that....or become just like you trying to mind our business in telling us to mind our business? Isn't that called hypocrisy? Oh yeah I forgot..the world is filled with people who care about nothing else besides telling others what to do without looking at themselves..lots of pots calling the kettle black..they are a dime a dozen!

You don't need to be a Christian to be against murder. Because that is exactly what it is. Most women who have abortions that are not medically vital, have severe emotional problems the rest of their lives, because deep down they know they have murdered a life that was inside them. You would not be here to ask this question if your mother had said, Holy crap, it's 19--- whatever, and told them to mind their own business and had you aborted. What do you think of that ? I answered a question with a question.

I agree with you.

If abortion was made illegal, it would not stop them. They would just be done in ''back rooms'' under unsanitary and unhealthy conditions, and many mothers would die.

But, I think the main reason abortions should not be made illegal is because the state has no right to push certain religious beliefs on a woman. The state cannot decided this issue. I do not believe in abortion, but I will not let the state tell me what to do. And, I think most pro-choice people feel as I do.

I think it has something to do with murder.

Here's something you can try:

Take a 5 month fetus and just lay it on the counter like a piece of gauze. If it's not "alive", it will just lay there, and you have nothing to worry about, right?

If it moves on it's own, it's alive. If you kill it, you've committed murder against another human being.

(You know, it really doesn't take a genius to figure this out.)

It is the responsibility of all adults to take a stand in infanticide because the children can't advocate for themselves.

Because not only is it taking a life in which you have no authority to do so, but it basically says that you can make a choice and not live with the consequence. In other words it's like me going out and choosing to murder someone and then not having to face the penalty for making that choice. What's the point of having a choice if there's no consequence?!

Because a baby is in their man, and your killing it. their are several reasons why people think it is ok.
1.level of dependancy
2.location
3.size.
4. development

1. you say that because they are dependant then their not a real person so you can kill it. well what if you became sick and you depended on medicine. then does that mean that i can come in and kill you. No. then why should we kill a baby because it depends on something.

2. you say that because it is in the womb that it is ok, well what if i move you to a new locationm then can i kill you. No so why kill a baby

3. it is small, so it can't be alive. well lets say i got a giant, and he was taller than everyone but me. then could i kill you all because you're small No, so why kill a baby

4.it does speak or think it just stays in there and does nothing. well what happens if i find a kid who can't read, whats that i am a higher development than he is, so you know what that means, i can kill him, No

You see it is living, so come on man that's why we freak out

No, abortion wasn't legal until around the 70's or so. This is but 30 years. But why isn't the truth told about abortion? It causes problems in the mother's body down the line. Besides it is murder. If you had been aborted, then you wouldn't be on here complaining.

The fundie fanatics cannot imagine that a woman maybe, just maybe, might be more qualified to decide how to use her own body than a bunch of politicians, cops, preachers, and the screaming harrassers of already-stressed women entering clinics. That may be because these losers do not appreciate what it is to be in charge of your own life. They have the mentality of slaves, because the entry level doorway into the fundie worldview is self-surrender.
