I am 100% not a Dale Earnhardt Jr fan, but what the hell is Teresa doing? Does she not understand That he is that Team. Jr has so many fans and I garuntee his merchandise sells the most. Could she really want him to leave? Who would replace him that would bring that much money? Anyone think that all this is a publicity stunt? Could she really be that stupid??

I think all she's thinking about is the money, but doesn't realize that if Jr. leaves, there goes most of the money.
I think she needs to step down and let Jr. and the other kids run the business like Dale Sr. had intended.

Well, whatever she's doing she better get it straight before Dale Jr leaves DEI at the end of this season. Dale Jr is the main reason why DEI has lasted this long cause it sure as heck wasn't Michael Waltrip that was bringing in the money and wins...IT WAS DALE JR!!
IMO, Theresa seems to be more concerened with how the public persona of Dale Sr is and how much money is coming in from his name and merchandise sales. You never see her at any of the races except for the Daytona 500 and then at the awards banquet. I admit that she knows a great deal about merchandise sales, etc. but when it comes to how to run a top-notch racing team..she doesn't have a clue.
Dale Sr started DEI so all of his children could have a part of Nascar...that company wasn't started just for Theresa. Theresa is ruining Dale Sr's dream. She needs to step down before it's too late and she's destroyed DEI.
Dale Jr has said that he wants to help run DEI but Theresa doesn't wanna let go. I don't believe that this is a publicity stunt as this has been brewing for a long time now.

Teresa is stupid!!!! If she loses Dale Jr she will be sorry because the company will go down and quick. Dale Jr fans will follow him no matter what and she will lose in the end!!! I do not think it is a publicity stunt on Dale Jr part it might be on her part to see what the fans would do if Dale Jr left. Would she have enough Dale Sr fans stay and she could make it or does she need Dale Jr.

I think that we're seeing a battle of egos being played out. Sure, Dale Jr. could take Budweiser with him, go to RCR and slide into the #3 car. It seems to be what everyone wants to see. And Childress would do everything in his power to be a champion. But Junior needs to show that he can commit himself to that and focus solely on racing for an entire season.
Teresa on the other hand, needs to get over herself and her ego. Dale Jr. is DEI, and nobody in their stable can carry DEI like Junior can. They need to come to an understanding that Junior needs make racing his #1 focus, and Teresa needs to provide him with the absolute best in equipment.

If Jr leaves DEI they will lose it all! The kids want some part of DEI and the talks are on. She has a lot of nerve. I used to like her but now I don't know anymore. I can't wait to see the movie DALE out in Feb. it should be great.

First of all Teresa isn't being stupid, Jr. is. He's got a lot of growing up to do and he should remember he's only famous because of his name. He's a good (not great) nascar driver, and if it weren't for his name he probably wouldn't have a ride with a quality team. Those readers that would argue with me, look at his wins, 2 in 2 years.
I like Jr just fine but he's been living in a dream world with his dad's name. Sure he's a name that brings in money, but I bet he's a real pain in the butt to get along with for Teresa and for the DEI company.

Dale Jr is not going anywhere.
I think her backhanded comment about Dale Jr needing to decide if he wants to be a public personality or a race car driver has exploded in her face.
If she's going to play it out in the media, Dale Jr is going to do the same.
Dale Jr is working himself up to one heck of a contract negoitiation. In his last contract, he finally got the rights to own his name. Now he wants partial ownership in the company.
Obviously, as a step mom, Theresa doubts how commited Dale Jr is to DEI. To me, that's a joke.

I wonder about Teresa at times myself but she really doesn't want Dale to leave. Teresa sometimes gets a little too emotional about auto racing because she is quite a fan in addition to her other special interests in the sport. I'll let Teresa know your concerns and hopefully she'll take your advise, see things as clearly as you do, and change her position on the Dale Earnhardt Jr issue. Hopefully, everything will turn out just fine.

I don't beleive that it is a stunt because Jr is not like that to publicily come out and complain about Teresa....if Jr. does leave she is so screwed because Jr. will take everyone with him and DEI will be no more.

That was just a bunch of trash talking going on. Teresa was making sure the movie Dale was being done right. Things get so out of hand, Jr. told her, if she wants him to run good, she needs to give him what he needs. He's not going anywhere, no matter what people think of Teresa.
