Dang! These hypothetical questions get sillier all the time! Since I happen to drive a roomy Lincoln Mark VIII, I would tell them ALL to get in. Why, are you supposing that I am, perhaps, on my motorcycle with room for only ONE more?

for the answer? Umm, unless this is tied to a dumb chain mail my cousin sent me about having the person who saved your life take that car (which you don't mention so maybe it's unrelated) with the old lady while you stay and die with your soulmate, there isn't a correct "answer".
Also you didn't set any limiting factors, so I'd say take everyone and leave. Assuming there was some only two people can make it out and 2 must remain... I say send the person of dreams away with, best friend (here called person who saved your life, chain mails have many variations). Unless, that best friend has led a decent life and tells you go ahead. The he and the old lady die.

I've heard this question before. Except it wasn't about a storm that would kill everyone. It was a job interview question and it just said 'what would you do if you happen upon these people at a bus station' and the guy that got the job said he would give his car to the person he owed the favor to and have him take the old lady to the hospital and he would wait for the bus with the girl of his dreams.
The employer liked him because he thought outside of the box.

I would ditch whatever I'm driving, tell the person who saved my life to get in, tell the person of my dreams to get in, and sit at the bus stop with the old lady until we both died in the storm. After all, if that person saved my life, I should return the favor. And if the other person is the person of my dreams, they must be a great person who deserves to live. Therefore they can live, while I die with the lady who I left behind.

i would take the woman of my dreams. i would tell the person who saved my life: "thanks man, but you understand don't you." and i would tell the old woman, "You ain't gonna live much longer after the storm anyway, Grandma".
