I have this friend and all my friends think i like him. I honestly don't like him like that, only as a friend. He's a little too emo for me (he doesn't cut himself), but he's a really nice guy. Well, today I asked him if he wanted to go to a movie with me and a bunch of friends on friday. He made up some stupid excuse saying that he had to work everyday for six hours this week.We're only 16 and we both work at a grocery store. I wasn't trying to ask him out, but I think he took it like that. Now he's really not talking to me. Is our friendship over?

Could be or it could be something else. I mean at 16 things that seems like they are not a big deal make a large impact. He could have something going on at home, school, or other place that is just effecting him. If he is such a good friend sit down with him, and talk to him openly about it. Explain to him that his friendship means alot to you and if something is going on you are there for him. Also it gives you a chance to touch base and let him know were you stand so you both are on the same page. Good luck and God Bless!

It's not over. He's probably confused because everyone is talking. You need to talk to him one-on-one and explain the situation ---> that you only see him as a friend and everyone is going overboard. Hopefully he'll understand.

Sounds like all the talk about you liking him like that has gotten to him. Send him a nice email or pass him a nice note and be honest about how you feel.

I think he is uncomfortable around you. If all of your friends think you like him and you share the same friends then they may be teasing him about it. I would get him alone and tell him that you do not like him and if he hears rumors about it then they are nothing but lies. Then leave it up to him if he wants to continue avoiding you.
