Camping/hiking is usually an excuse for sex in a tent or the great outdoors. So if you're sexually involved with him, go for it.

Are you prepared for wilderness hiking & camping?

Make sure you know the rules! Some wilderness areas have bears which are attracted to scent, particulary the scent of sex.

Wouldn't hurt to be cautious, though. Ask him to show you an itinerary and share it with a trusted friend.

Take along a cell phone and a GPS.

It would probably be alot of fun, and if you sit around and logically think about it you'll probably wind up making a long list of reasons for, and the reasons not to will probably seem pretty light.

But, the fact you are asking says you have some discomfort with the idea. Either because 5 days alone when you are still getting to know someone could be a great strain or because you're still devleoping the level of trust you need to go off for this... doesn't matter, the fact is that you are not comfortable.

And if not you're comfortable, there is nothing wrong with saying "that sounds fun, maybe this summer?" And then see how it goes over a few months and then you'll have a better idea when it comes up again, and feel better about whatever decision you make.

make sure wherever you go, you have cell phone capabilities, drive in your own car and know where the keys are at all times. If you feel apprehensive about going, ask another couple to go with you. I know that the first real "alone" time can be pretty tricky. So just tell him that you do trust him, but you want others company too. Other than that... catch some fish girl!

I would wait till about 3 months or so, that way you know more about him. I'm with a guy who is in his mid 20's and I am 20 and we talk about going camping now (we've been together for 7 months)

i would suggest taking a few friends along. if thats a no go.....you both take cars. this gives you a way out if things dont go the way you think they should. dont leave yourself vulnerable ever. he may be a complete gentlemen but sometimes its better to be safe than sorry. be sure to tell someone exactly where you will be. i dont think you can be too careful at times. if he asks about why you want to take your own car, tell him......look, i have seen way too many horror films and laugh it off. just tell him its a new relationship and you would be more confortable having your own vehicle. if he respects you, then he wont mind it. if he gets upset about it, then you need to stay at home girl. up to no good. good luck and have fun

If you're truly into him and trust him completely, go for it. Just make sure you have a way out if you get up there and things turn bad.

If he, or better yet both of you, enjoy the outdoors and you trust him, then it sounds like he is making a very sweet and romantic gesture to get to know you better.

Tell him you would like to start small. Not so remote, & maybe for just the weekend.
