I mean are there A. any near Indiana or B. any large enough to affect us even though they are thousands of miles away

This is for a science paper so its not like i'm paranoid about volcanoes killing us!

Well as far as being affected by any that are near by I don't think you have to worry although im not sure what is in Canada,but there is a threat of Yellowstone park .. Which is a super volcano that if erupted would cover two thirds of the US and most of the out put from it would cause a shift in the whole climate of the world.This volcano erupts every 600 something thousand years and is very close to that point again if not past it.. so other than that I cannot think of any that would bother you..Check in Canada to see what volcanoes they have close to you ..

A volcano anywhere in the world could affect Indiana. In 1991, a volcano in the Phillipines erupted and put enough gas in the air to affect the temperatures in the entire worls for nearly 2 years.

yellow stone crater is the closest to you the smoke and ash clouds from large eruptions can affect the weather for thousand miles
