First of all, yes, not only can this hurt you, but it can eventually kill you. Tylenol (generic...acetaminophen) is a good pain reliever for headaches, but taking too much of it can very hard on the stomach and toxic to the liver. The "PM" in Tylenol is benedryl (generic...diphenhydramine).....which if he's taking four of them that is 100mg. I'm a large guy and 25 mg is plenty enough for me. If this is combined with alcohol, it could be deadly...from the cumulative effects. You need to slap your friend and take the Tylenol PMs away from him......before he kills himself.

Tylenol is very very hard on your liver--especially if you drink alchohol regularly. The PM part of the Tylenol is just the ingredient found in Benedryl--your friend is taking twice the recommended dose. Its not a narcotic, but especially because of the toxic effect of Tylenol on the liver I would advice against it. Maybe just plain old Benedryl would be better. And a warm glass of milk.

shrink your danger, and pass taking Tylenol PM in any respect, and purely take Benadryl. The energetic element in Benadryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) is what reasons the sleepiness, and you will take multiples of that and pass the probabilities of liver issues from too lots Tylenol. it is likewise greater much less costly to purchase it like that--as an antihystamine--than it is to purchase it as Tylenol PM. maximum drug save chains have their very own inner maximum label Benadryl, and that's much greater much less costly. you may take 4 of those, that's one hundred mg, with little or no danger--they provide large IV doses of it for migraines and all it does is make human beings pass to sleep. too lots Tylenol by the years might reason liver issues, so in case you would be taking it oftentimes that might actually assist you sleep, pass it, and purely take the energetic snoozing element.

There really isn't a reason for it, unless they have built up a tolerance and that is the only effective dose for them, in which case they should detox for a few days and start over with one. I wouldn't do it you could get ulcers or internal bleeding, that's it. It won't get you high or anything else there is nothing good whatsoever that could come of taking four Tylenol at one time.

Your friend is STUPID. There have been all sorts of reports about abuse of otc drugs. The LABEL has the info....even T ylenol has been on the tube with ads saying "either take the recommended dosage or don't take it at all/"

Sounds like your friend is trying to get a "high" which will probably be a wonderful DEATH. SEE THE DOC!

That behavior is very bad for the kidneys, you might want to tell your friend it can hurt you. How do I know? Did it with a bit more punch, but doctors were furious.
