Hillside condotel i live in chiang mai and have heard good things about this place. Furthermore it is located on huay kaew road wich is a perfect starting point for traveling anywhere in Chiang mai and is also across the street from 7-11 and a smaller road that has many many good restaurants.

I was recently searching for serviced apartments in Chiang Mai for a friend of mine. It appears that there aren't too many, unlike Bangkok. You might want to check out the Viangbua Mansion, looks very nice, maybe not 5-star though and the Royal Peninsula, which offers longstays, but from the website looks more like a hotel. Also, the classifieds in the Chiang Mai Mail, CityLifeChiang Mai and CityNow offer condos for rent, I don't know if they will rent for just a month, though, but you can always ask. All of the above were easily found online, sorry I couldn't be of more help, but hopefully it will help you to find something, good luck!

Ah sorry again - just a little info that I hope will be helpful.. but it will depend on your ability to get around and what you might consider a "great" location.. CM has become a bit crowded and congested for me, so, I would not consider anything too close to the Night Bizarre as a great location.. others might.

They have built many "Moo bahns" or housing developments in and around CM that are small suburban type gated communities with a little plot of land etc.. I would think for most, some sort of transport might be helpful.. but from what I have seen, there are some quite good deals to be had as far as rentals. I did see a very nice 3 bdrm house available in one for abt 15,000 baht per mo.. - $400.. all new, clean and nicely furnished..

You should also be able to find a condo closer in to town that might be nice, but not quite central.. I would google around a bit - type in CM - rentals.. check w/some of the local magazines and sources online - - "baht and sold" is one - - if you want more specific info, I do have friends w/houses up there and who have been looking to sell etc.. I think a bit overbuilt and a buyers mkt at the moment which might work to your favor as far as rentals.. - if you need more assistance - feel free to contact me..
