Love is blind means that the one in love doesn't see the other person in a true light. The love masks any imperfections that others might see. That is why it is so important not to rush into a relationship or marriage until you really get to know a person. After the lust wears off it is like taking off a blindfold and you can see the truth. Hopefully it is as you thought.

It means since he has your heart everyone else is just a blur. You only see him. You only hear him. You only want him. You think "He is so perfect, no one even compares to him." This mentallity also makes you over see the persons flaws and a day comes and when you realize a flaw it comes as a shock making you scared. Love-real love- is knowing but accepting the flaws and thats why he is perfect. It's flaws that give him the color. ;)

I think the term means that you are willing to accept someone for who they are, in good and bad times.
I think the phrase also extends to times when you the person who 'loves' another is hurt by that person.
In a way the person you are seeing is having a negative impact on you, so doing harm to you, but you love them anyway.

basically it means that all his bad habits no matter how bad he treats your friends no matter how bad he embarrasses you in front of your family no matter how ugly he is how bad he smells how annoying he is there is a special something in him that makes him lovable in your eyes. even when it mystifies the rest of us.
