watch what you eat - (try to avoid oily foods for about 2 weeks) you will notice an improvement.
go for a swim at the beach - salt water is the best for your skin.
also make sure you wash your face morning and night.
If you do this - you will notice an improvement but sometimes if your hormones are unbalanced this could also be the cause so u may have to see a specialist - treat the problem at it's source.

Well, I had acne problems and I looked at home remedies for it. A few I have found that seem to work a little are: Honey Toothpaste and Ointment such as Neosporen However, My zits just kept getting worse so I finally went to the dermatologist. He told me that Zits are strictly hormonal and that the type of food you eat, how much you sweat, how oily your face is, what products you are using does not effect your zits. You get zits from a change in hormones such as stress or just the age you are. At one point I was using proactiv to fix my acne problem but it didnt help. He told me that my proactiv and other home remedies wasnt potent enough to treat my acne so he prescribed me some prescription ointment. I was worried about the cost but my insurance covered it and I only had to pay like 10 bucks which was wayy cheaper than proactiv and better than any home remedy. To top it all off my face is clearing up after just 5 days. I suggest you ditch the home remedies, make sure your insurance covers it and go to the dermatologist.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Hi,
You can try the following remedies ( from http://www.grannymed.com/Meds/Acne.aspx ) :
1. Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes, then wash.
2. Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary to reduce the acne.
3. Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball, leave for half an hour and wash. Repeat for 15-20 days.
4. Rub the acne with garlic cloves several times a day.
Wash face with avocado paste mixed with water.
Good luck

Aspirin...you have to mix around 10 tablets...non coated kind, with a few drops of water to create a paste...you need to mush it together...it helps dry up the acne...works well too...just can get a bit messy.

my father, who was born and raised on a cow farm, always contended that URINE helps acne. one year, in high school, i had acne for about two weeks. it made me self-conscious and miserable. i took my father's advice; washed my face with urine and soap. within 2 days the acne was completely cleared up.
i know this is far-fetched and gross, but it does work.
