Start off with volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Towel dry your hair and put in some volumizing mousse. Turn your head upside-down and blow dry. do not brush through, finger comb. Part your hair into 5 sections (one on top, two on the side, and two in the back). Take a large barrel curling iron and curl 1 inch sections for each part. Do not curl all the way to the roots, for that will be to much of a curl, and you want a wave. Instead, curl only up to about where the bottom of your ear is. spray each section afer curling it. Once you're done curling, wait 25 minutes for everything to completely dry, then finger through your hair. This should loosen it up a bit.
I hope i helped,and good luck :)

You can get one of those irons from Walgreen's or Walmart that looks like 2 or 3 curling irons all stuck together, I makes your hair wavy and looks great temporarily. For a more long term wave you can get a perm and use a little styling cream to create a beautiful wave.

Rub hair balm onto your hair and straighten your hair. After that, add just a few curlers to your hair and remove after 15 mins. If you have naturally dead straight hair, then don't worry about straightening. The result should give you soft curls and gorgeous wavy hair.

if your not genetically predisposed to curly wavy hair... you have some options. you can wash your hair and whle its still damp you can put it in a couple of french braids...or have someone do it for you. if your sure its what you want you can go to teh salon and have it permed into your hair... but be VERY sure its what you want. you can get a wave crimper... it works like a crimper but does waves instead. or you can do rollers or a curling iron.

Use a curling iron to create loose waves.
Or, you can take a shower i nthe morning and braid your wet hair in two braids, then wear it to school or wherever you're going, then sleep in them, and unbraid it the next morning - wavy! I do that all the time.

Set it on big hot rollers with a styling spray, let them cool, take them out, flip your head and shake out the curls. Don't run a brush or your fingers thru it too much or it'll make the waves look too fly-away

If you have a litte natural curl, add mouse(light hold) blow dry on low and crunch with hands. No natural curl, use big steam rollers.
