Take a few drops of Hydrogen peroxide and rub it into the gap between the skin and where the ingrown toenail meet, make sure it gets down in there. Sometimes there are dirt or sock lint particles that irritate them and this will clean those particals out. then soak your feet in a solution of epsom salts and warm water for 4-5 minutes, this softens the toenails. You then immediately lift the ingrown up and out with tweezers and clip it off.

Another way is to go to a Podiatrist, Foot Doctor, if they are stubborn and do not want to be pried out with tweezers. He will numb the area with a local anesthetic and then cut the ingrown out with a pair os nail cutters resembling wire clippers.

This is not commonly heard of but every time I get one I do it and it has worked. Take a knife or a razor blade and gently scrape the top of your toe nail. You do not even have to touch where it hurts. By doing this it makes the top of your nail thin, which then allows the ingrown part of the nail to go in towards the middle of your toe. In a few days it should be back to good.

Instead of a huge copy/paste, here is a list of treatment options from the source listed below: Soak the foot in warm water 3-4 times daily.

Keep the foot dry during the rest of the day.

Wear comfortable shoes with adequate room for the toes. Consider wearing sandals until the condition clears up.

You may take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain relief.

If there is no improvement in 2-3 days, or if the condition worsens, call your doctor.

To Prevent it: Cut the edges of toenails straight (squared off), not into rounded corners.

I used to have a problem with this as a kid. Sometimes, it will straighten out on it's own, or you may be able to cut a portion of the nail at a diagonal and pull out the ingrown portion. But, beware! The best thing to do is to see a podiatrist or your GP. They may have to remove half of the nail, and let it grow in again.

Easiest way to answer.. get a pedicure at a salon.
Find out first if they have people who specialize in treating ingrowns.
It might take 2-3 pedicures to clear it up, but it will be done properly!
