with or without weapons? UFC fighters are martial artists who devote their lives to hand to hand combat. Navy seals train in hand to hand combat, weapons, explosives,, stealth techniques, etc.... Also a lot of UFC fighters train special forces people in the military with their hand to hand combat. I seriously doubt if there any Navy Seals that could beat any of the top UFC fighters. I would be upset with my nations military if they spent all their time training in martial arts and hand to hand combat. But if you throw weapons into mix I'll hand it to our special forces any day of the week. I have the utmost faith in our military and I very seriously doubt we would ever send them in harms way with just theirdick in their hand.

The special forces use the same fighting styles that you'll see in the UFC. The only difference is that the UFC fighters have probbaly been practicing it a lot longer than a Navy SEAL. So in a fight with a referee and rules the UFC fighter would dominate that guy. There was a Marine that fought in the UFC when it was new and he got whooped, same thing would happen here. The military speacial forces are trained to kill not to fight in the UFC so it would be no contest.

Considering the huge skill set a Navy SEAL, or any other spec ops person for that matter must learn and maintain, I think it would be difficult for them to find the training hours per week for unarmed combat as a UFC fighter. Therefore, I think the advantage would go to the UFC fighter.
However, if there was a HALO jump, 2 mile swim in icy water, followed by a climb up the side of a vertical rock face, and then a 10 mile run to the octagon to start the fight, well then, advantage SEAL

I'd go for the SEAL. The UFC guy might be trainig everyday becasue that's his job, and the SEAL only trains periodically, but SEAL's are tough. They are trained to kill and UFC champions just to win. Besides, training everyday does not mean tnat you can become stronger than the one that does not train everyday, because everyday training damages the body. So I'm saying SEAL, and this is the SEAL that has no combat experience, if you place a combat vet SEAL in the ring, then it really is not a match.

Actually, Navy SEALS are trained in both quick kill and non-lethal take-downs/holds. Plus, many of them have real world life and death experience.
Hard to say, but if a Navy SEAL couldn't beat a UFC fighter, I'd be rather dissapointed in our feared military elite.
No doubt that if the fight were 'real', the SEAL would win. With UFC rules and restrictions in place...??

WELL, UNLESS THEY ARE ALLOWED TO KILL, THE SEALS HANDS ARE TIED. I MEAN THEY LEARN TO FIGHT ON BATTLEFIELD WITHOUT HAVING RULES LKE, DON'T DO THIS, OR THAT. AFTER ALL, IF AL QAEDA ATTACKS, YOU WOULD PROBABLY LOSE IF YOU COULDN'T SHOOT THEM. AND YOU CAN'T DO THAT AT UFC.
UFC IS LIMITED IN THEIR ABILITY TO JUDGE A BEST FIGHTER. UNTIL ALL THE RULES ARE TAKEN DOWN, YOU'LL NEVER KNOW.

I believe the UFC would win because they live, breathe, eat, and sleep fighting 24/7.

UFC fighters have been trained in take down's and most of them have been trained to to learn different techniques from different cultures which makes it a difficult challenge for any Seal to defeat them.

as soon as rules limit the peoples natural skill, you weaken them.
like saying I will fight a grizzly bear, but only if its muzzled, pawless, and drugged.
UFC are dumb for thinking they are superior to people who kill people with no rules. if MMA was teh d34dly, then the special forces would teach it, but they dont. it isnt their primary form of offense is it.
you dont fight your enemy by their rules, or you are screwed by playing their game.
still enjoy the UFC though, just that this is dumb.
