My friend, who had stage 3 breast cancer claims that she can't go over to her parents house because of the mold and mildew. I've been there and I haven't seen it, but it is an old house that hasn't been kept up. I'm wondering if there is another reason she doesn't go over, or is what she says true? She finished her round of chemo and radiation over a year ago.

When my brother had cancer, the advice from traditional physicians was to avoid eating preserved food as these if not processed properly, could have molds and mildew and fungi which may release certain toxin that can affect the body.

Going through chemo stresses the body and brings down the natural immunity of the body. Even after chemo it is best to keep a good look-out for your body. It is only wise to avoid places, environment and food that may be detrimental to the person so as to avoid a recurrence of the cancer.

My father-in-law had problems with the effects of lung fungus. He lived on Vancouver Island and molds of all kinds are quite common. When he got cancer this mold had a weird effect of getting worse when he got chemo. He did pass away because of decreased lung function and cancer in the end.
