If the seller (dealer) provided a warranty, then yes, if you bought it from a private seller, then no. Most dealers won't touch anything that old. Also, what was the breakdown? Flat tire maybe? Is it an item that would normally be covered?

the guaranty has particular insurance, and those are the words that are legally enforceable. To combat the guaranty agency is the only decision, yet be cautioned that criminal costs in this could exceed the out of pocket fee you have already incurred, and interior the top you will greater then probable loose the case. After industry warranties are unusual at situations. i offered one as quickly as and the vehicle broke down in much less then thirty days. the guaranty agency claimed it replaced right into a preexisting difficulty and there for no longer coated using declare coming in the previous thirty days had expired. That replaced into my difficulty, and that i found out from it.

depends upon what the WRITTEN guarantee was. never mind the verbal. they can always deny that. also depends upon what actualy failed on the truck. if you locked up the engine, because you drove over an object in the road, and knocked the oil filter off, then nope. my hunch is, on a 18 year old truck, it was an as-is deal. i think you are on your own.

You can take them to small claims court to sue for damages; in California the max is $7,500. But beware, if they file for bankrupcy, you'll never get paid. And if you win the judgement in court and they still don't pay, you'll have to hire an Atty. to get your money
