Anyone got some good smoothie recipes to share with me? Maybe even some healthy ones, and breakfast ones? Thank you.

Here are a couple of smoothie recipes for you.....

~~~~~~ Tomato Smoothie ~~~~~~

1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
2 large ripe plum tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
1/2 tsp dried basil, crumbled
1/4 tsp salt

In blender, whirl yogurt, tomatoes, basil, and salt until very smooth, 2 minutes. Serve over ice, if desired.

~~~~~~ Tropical Smoothie ~~~~~~

1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
3/4 cup mango chunks
1/2 cup banana slices
1 tbsp lime juice
2 tsp sugar
4 ice cubes

In a blender, combine yogurt, mango, banana, lime juice, sugar, Ice cubes. Blend until smooth and thick. Garnish with a mint sprig and slices of mango and lime. Serves 2.

~~~~~~ Orange-Banana Breakfast Smoothie ~~~~~~

3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup sliced banana
2 tsp brown sugar
1/8 tsp almond extract
2 ice cubes
Mint sprig for garnish (optional)

In a blender, combine orange juice, banana, brown sugar, almond extract, ice cubes and blend until thick and smooth. Garnish with a mint sprig. ServeS 1.

~~~~~~ Respberry Smoothie ~~~~~~

200ml strawberry yoghurt
100ml fresh milk
50g fresh raspberries, washed
1/4 cup ice cubes
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
100ml thick cream, whipped

In a blender place the yoghurt, fresh milk, raspberries, ice cream and ice. Blend the mixture until it becomes thick.
Place the smoothie into clear glasses, add the whipped cream and top with fresh raspberries and serve.

The BEST Strawberry Smoothie EVER!: 5 min 5 min prep 2-3 servings 1 cup frozen strawberries 1 cup milk 1/4 cup sugar 1 banana 8-10 ice cubes 1. Put all ingredients in blender. 2. Blend until smooth.

Just about anything* ..
ice-cubes
milk (about a cup)
any kind of ice cream (a few good wallops/spoonfuls)
(choc.chunk ice cream, or strawberry icecream, ..)
you can add fresh fruit also (bananas/strawberrys/melons)
you can add a squirt of choc.syrup(Nestle Quick )
then press BLEND on the electric blender

ENJOY and Experiment with what things YOU like*

ice
orange juice/ or pineapple juice
some vanilla or orange ice cream
a few pineapple chunks from can
or fruit cocktail from can (peaches...whatever you like)
and have that in the morning for breakfast
You can add yogurt and fresh fruit in a cup with some chopped nuts ontop

i got really good at mixing smoothies a couple of years ago - this works for almost any fruit - about 1/2 cup of ice (perferrably already crushed), 1/2 of plain yogurt, cup of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, bananas - i never tried any citrus but its probably good) and then mix in enough milk to keep everything liquid so it doesnt break the blender - and blend til smooth. add milk to make it more or less thick

* 1 fairtrade mango
* 2 guavas
* 300ml passion fruit juice
* 2 handfuls of ice

1/2 C. Yogurt- Plain perferably (you can use flavored ones if want to.)
1 Banana peeled and cutted up
1 tsp. Nutmeg or Cinnamon
Optional: Add 1 or 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream to make it more creamy if like, and add Strawberries or other fruits you like with Banana.

Healthy Broccoli Smoothie
Ingredients
·1 Carrot (chopped)
·4 Florets of Broccoli
·2 Handfuls of Spinach
·1 Apple (chopped)
·2 Oranges (peeled and quartered)
·Orange Juice to dilute
You can change the fruit and vegtables to your requirements but this is one way of ensuring you get the portions of fruit and vegtables your body requires.

Tropical Carrot Apple Juice
INGREDIENTS
·1 large apple, quartered
·1/2 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks
·3 large carrots, ends trimmed
·2 teaspoons fresh ginger
·2 large stalks celery
·1/2 medium beet
·white sugar (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1.Juice the apple, pineapple, carrots, ginger, celery, and beet in a juice machine. Sweeten with sugar if desired.

Strawberry Oatmeal Vegan Smoothie
"This is a fast vegan smoothie with a deep pink color and a rich, creamy texture. VERY filling, and perfect for people in a rush in the morning. You don't have to give up a good breakfast when it's this fast to make! I use vitamin fortified soy milk."
INGREDIENTS
·1 cup soy milk
·1/2 cup rolled oats
·1 banana, broken into chunks
·14 frozen strawberries
·1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
·1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar
DIRECTIONS
1.In a blender, combine soy milk, oats, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla and sugar if desired. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.

These are wonderful and delicious. Cleansing and creamy, don't omit the optional ingredients. They are mostly the healthy ones!

Apricot Pineapple Smoothie Recipe
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 fresh apricot, diced
6 strawberries
1/2 banana
1 1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. skim milk powder
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax seed oil (optional)
-------------------------

In a blender, process fruit with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until thoroughly mixed and serve.



Banana-Strawberry Fruit Smoothie Recipe
1 banana, frozen
6 strawberries, frozen
1 1/4 cup water
1 tbsp. skim milk powder
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax oil (optional)

In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed and serve.



Tropical Fruit Shake
1/2 mango
2 tbsp. frozen pina coloda mix (or 1/8 tsp. natural coconut extract)
1/2 banana, frozen
4 strawberries, frozen
6 ice cubes
1 1/4 cup water
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax oil (optional)

In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed and serve.



Banana-Berry Fruit Smoothie
1/2 pear, cored
1/4 cup frozen blueberries or frozen mixed berries
1/2 banana, frozen
1 1/4 cup water
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. skim milk powder
1 heaping tbsp. high-quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax oil (optional)

In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed and serve.



Banana-Orange-Strawberry Fruit Shake
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 banana, frozen

Also, try experimenting! Put your favorite fruits in a blender with plain or vanilla yogurt and ice cream and come up with your own. Mmmmmm. Smoothies are a staple in my house!

I like Banana-strawberry-rasberry-orange smoothies
mix a banana, a few strawberries, and some rasberries(you can get them in the frozen food section at stores) and orange in a blender.
