I dyed my hair a dark brown out of a box, and I don't like it. I would like to get it out of my hair, maybe go a nice blonde colour. But I have no money to go to a salon .... is it safe to colour my hair a lighter colour using a box?

No! It's almost never safer to dye your hair a lighter color by yourself.. and especially not right after dying it the first time.
I'm sorry, but the best option is for you to seek out a professional. They'll be able to put a color remover on your hair that can take out most of that pigment and tone it back to a normal color..
If you do decide to do it at home, have a good hat collection. You'll need it.

If it's only been a day or so since you dyed it, buy the cheapest shampoo you can find and wash it a couple of times with that. That will strip some of the color out. If it's been longer than a day, you can dye over it. But you need to find a permanent hair color that has bleach in it. Without the bleach, it's likely your hair color won't be blonde, but will turn some sort of orangish. If you really want it to be blonde, you should splurge for a salon treatment.

Well yes you can change your hair color to blonde, and no it not gonna dry your hair out. Because most box color isnt that strong, what you can use is like go to a local beauty supplies, and buy a 20 or 30 developer and choose a blonde color that you like and mix it to get the hair color you want. If you're not sure what to buy ask the clerk that work there they can give you more information, they are very helpful, and dont worry i work in a slaon myself ok.

NO!!! You will get very bad results. Remember never get any color that says dark. Unless it would be a dark blond. What is your natural color? Maybe you can find a stylist that will talk to you and give you some advice. Or you can chance it a go to a Beauty School. Good Luck

Well you can make money and go to a salon or you can just dye your hair the regular color before and then if you wish dye it the color you want! But, it may ruin your hair.

no go get it bleached when u have dark hair boxes of hair colors dont lighten it

u should do whatever best you think suits u if somebody else said they didn,t lkie it and you do don't listen to them keep and i think you could look great in any color YOU like

was it permanent, semi, or does it wash out...
if it wasn't permanent i would try washing it a lot first, and then try lightening it gradually
