Each person reacts differently to medications. One that causes little or no drowsiness in one person, may knock the next person out.
Discuss this with your doctor. Now, with that said, when I was battling depression, I was prescribed Wellbutrin and when I first started it it kinda had a speedy feeling for a week or so. It did not make me drowsy and appeared to be safe for me to drive on.
Likely your husband will have to try out a couple or few different ones.
Even St. John's wort (herbal supp) can affect judgement, so always make sure he knows how he's going to react before he drives ... and consult a medical doctor or at the very least your local pharmacist (not pharmacy tech.. talk to the RPH).

well I drive a truck for a living(8 years) and I found that meth will keep him up!,just kidding, the only thing for him to do is to,get as much rest as possible, before heading out on the road, for me lots of coffee, and when he starts to feel slight fatigue, pull over and take a fifteen minute nap, these are the safest ways to drive,a fatigued driver or one that doesnt recognize fatigue, can be worse and less responsive that a drunk driver

You need to check with his Doctor, all of the anti-depressants cause drowsiness and impair driving ability.

Your husband's doctor is the ONLY person who can do this. But your husband needs to sit and discuss all aspects of this with his doctor first.

Yeah...Your DOCTOR! Don't put your husbands health, or the public into the hands of people on the Internet.

try not to use drugs, show him love, treat him good make him feel proud of his job because that's whats putting the bread on your table, I know this may sound a little over, but the endorphins release by the sexual act can help a lot with depression.
