From CDG airport you can take a bus (every 15 minutes) just to the Garnier Opera. In July, when I was in Paris, a ticket was 8.50 euros and the way was about 30-40 minutes.

A taxi will cost you anything between 50 Euros and 80 Euros, depending on the traffic (I've paid 70 euros).

If you want to get to Opera then you should use the Roissybus which leaves from outside the Airport terminal, costs €8.50 and is quicker than a taxi as it can use the voie bus.

Another option is to take a bus from CDG to Porte Maillot (very cheap) which is a short distance from the Arc de Triumph and close by to nearly everything "downtown". There is a taxi stand very close to the bus stop to take you to any local destination for a mcuh more reasonable rate than a cab direct from CDG. Good luck whatever you decide and enjoy Paris!

Taxi are expensive in Paris and traffic is very heavynear CDG
The best (cost and time) is to take RER B change at Chatelet and then RER A to Opera

It's depends the traffic, but usually you pay around 50 - 60 euros.
The alternative is to take the shuttle bus Air France, you will arrive to the opéra place, or the RER (subway).
