What looks nice for lighting in a living room. We have lamps but its to dark. I want to install lighting in the ceiling but I want it to look nice...suggestions?

I prefer recessed can lights with an adjustable dimmer switch. Many different trim pieces and bulb types are available.

That's a hard question to answer, not knowing your decorating style in the home. Indirect lighting is always best in my opinion. When you are trying to illuminate an area and you don't see the source of the light then you really have hit a home run in the design world. You might want to consider recessed lighting, I really think the halogen lighting does a great job. Track lighting is also something to consider, they generally look best with a more contemporary decorating style. Good luck with your project!

I really depends on your furnishings, in my livingroom I have a chandelier.
