No. It's been a very long time since pencils contained lead. They are still called lead pencils but in fact, the writing material is graphite. The hardness of the graphite mixture determines what grade the pencil is and whether it has a very hard point or a softer point, better suited to drawing.

As one answer states,pencils are made from graphite but you can find lead pencils at Art Supply stores.
As another answer states,it is extremely hard to write on yourself with pencil.
As another answer states,they have lived with pencil lead in their body for some time with no problem.
You would have to have ALOT of lead in your body that comes in direct contact with your blood stream before you would have to worry about lead poisoning as in eating lead paint chips that are digested in your stomach and thusly run through your blood stream.

If you write EXTREMELY HARD and it goes through your skin, you are not in any real danger. My bro got a pencil lead go through his hand and he was fine
