I usually spread the peanut butter on the slice of bread for the bottom of the sandwich first and then jelly/jam to what will be the top slice. The pb on the bottom keeps the jelly from soaking through the bottom layer and getting your fingers all sticky.

I just had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I did not pay attention to how I made it but I spread both breads seperately and put the 2 breads together.

I mix my peanut butter and jelly together, so they both go on at the same time, it keeps the peanut butter from sticking to the roof of your mouth. YUMMY!!!!

Bread
Spread PB on both slices
Spread jelly on one side and combine
Makes sure that the jelly doesn't overload the flavor of the PB and the bread doesn't get too moist from the jelly.
