it is inappropriate. What they should ask if it makes a difference is if you have recently tested for AIDS or been checked for stds if you have had multiple partners.

I think it's an inappropriate question to ask because what's in the past is in the past. Why dwell over it when you have the future to worry about? Life is complicated enough. On the other hand, why wouldn't someone want to ask someone else this question? You don't want them to have slept with so many people and then take the chance on you getting something. I get asked that all the time and answer truly. If they are interested afterwards that's alright, if they are not, it's their loss not mine is the way I see it. They older you get, the more that question is asked. You can either answer it or tell them that you don't want to talk about it because it's in the past. But that question is always going to be asked. Good luck!

Sure I've been asked that question many many times.. I usually reply...
"Umm I only kept track of the first 200 after that its just a guess.."
Nope I dont think its an inappropriate question at all.. I've asked it myself of others (trying to weed out the newbies LOL.. seriously If I'm gonna get involved in sex i prefer someone that knows what they are doing)

yes i have been asked that question, and it depends on who is asking if it is appropriate or not, if it was someone I was going to sleep with, then i suppose he does have the right to ask, but if it was some Joe blow down the street then no it would not be appropriate to ask.

sure people have asked. but i think a good rule of thumb is dont ask and don't tell. ignorance is bliss, and sometimes people cannot handle knowing...everyone seems to have different idea of what is acceptable. i think if you feel comfortable enough to share that with someone, you can tell them. Likewise, if they want you to know that informastion about them, they'll share it. otherwise, dont ask. they shouldn't ask that of you either.

It's not a big deal to some people but to others it would be because allot of people feel that it's private... I don't believe that people should be ashamed of the experiences they've had and I believe that we can learn things from things we can experience :) :) :)
