The egg. And here's my theory on that one. An animal such as a chicken cannot appear out of the blue, it must be born. And in order for something to be born it must be contained. Yes, chickens need to be nurtured by their mothers, but in the very beginning when there were no other chickens to nuture it and it only had itself, it was raised alone. It came from a single speck that was derived from grain and a single organism or something of that sort. Things mixed together forming this so called "egg" and in it, life began to grow.
