a number of the adjustments is composed of a Mormon theory that Scripture could nicely be further to (no longer so in accordance to Rev. 22:18-19 for one occasion). Mormons have faith the Trinity is 3 distinctive Gods (no longer so in accordance to Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 40 3:10; and Matthew 28:19). Mormons even have faith that they are going to be the only ones interior the celestial heaven (no so in accordance to Psalm seventy 3:25; Luke 23:40 3; John 14:3; a million John 3:2; a million John 4:10; and 2 Corinthians 5:8). Mormons even have faith that Jesus replaced into the spirit brother of Lucifer (devil) (no longer so in accordance to John 3:sixteen, which states that Jesus is God's "purely begotten son" or "one and purely son."). just to call some.

The primary difference between Mormons (the Latter Day Saints Movement) and other Christians is that they believe in and follow a separate book of scripture, in addition to the two testaments of the Bible, known as the Book of Mormon.
This book was alledgedly translated by Joseph Smith, Jr. from ancient plates containing a history of the early inhabitants of the Americas that was compiled by a prophet called Mormon. Of course, no one has ever actually seen those ancient plates :)
They key beliefs of the religion are summarized in 13 points, known as the 13 Articles of Faith. See following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_of_Great_Price/Articles_of_Faith

Mormonism is a cult! They have even given sacrafises. They claim to be Christian to cover it all up. They have another "BOOK" that they read and study more than the bible. They belive that there is no hell. And that in the After life, if you die a sinner... you are "Cleansed" The Interesting thing is that if you Google Cults then they will most Def be on that list!
Also They are the "Men in Black" and they will go Door to Door, to offer you free info about a Cult! I get offended when they Compare Mormonism to Chrisianity, there are sooo many more Differences. Mormonism is a Cult, and Full of false Teachings. Stay away! Read the Holy Bible... that is all you need, then you will find your way. And Jesus warned of theese False teachings and False Prophets, so Be Carefull!!!!!

They do not believe in the trinity, for starters. Mormons believe in many gods, and they seem to believe that humans can become a god. They think that the current God was born on another planet.
In addition to the Bible, the Mormons also have three other sacred books: "The Book of Mormon", "Doctrine and Covenants", and "The Pearl of Great Price".
They also reject the idea of salvation by grace; they seem to believe that you have to earn salvation by doing good works. Since most Mormons do not believe in Hell, their idea of "salvation" is different. They also reject the idea of original sin.
---------------------------------
God used to be a man on another planet, Mormon Doctrine, p. 321. Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, Vol 5, pp. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, Vol 2, p. 345, Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333.)
"The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s..." (D&C 130:22).
God is in the form of a man, (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3.)
"God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345
God the Father had a Father, (Joseph Smith, History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 476; Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, p. 19; Milton Hunter, First Council of the Seventy, Gospel through the Ages, p. 104-105.)
God resides near a star called Kolob, (Pearl of Great Price, pages 34-35; Mormon Doctrine, p. 428.)
God had sexual relations with Mary to make the body of Jesus, (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 4, p. 218, 1857; vol. 8, p. 115.) - This one is disputed among many Mormons and not always 'officially' taught and believed. Nevertheless, Young, the 2nd prophet of the Mormon church taught it.
"Therefore we know that both the Father and the Son are in form and stature perfect men; each of them possesses a tangible body . . . of flesh and bones." (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 38).

Key differences:
Mormons believe that the organization of the Church by Christ in the Bible is the true organization, with prophets, apostles, etc.
Mormons don't believe in the Trinity, but that God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three seperate beings (the Trinity only really became a mainstream belief when the Catholic Church declared it so in 325 AD, prior to that the more common understanding was that they were seperate).
Mormons don't believe God all of a sudden stopped talking to his people (stopped caring). They therefore believe in continuing revelation and in prohets. There is a prophet who leads there church who receives direct inspiration/guideance from God, just as the prophets of old did (e.g. Moses, Noah, Abraham, etc.)
Mormons believe the Priesthood by which the Apostles performed miracles (given to them by Christ) and by which things were sealed in heaven as performed on Earth was given to certain indivuals and exists in their church.
Mormons believe God is not a respector of persons and because He speaks to various people, there therefore exists additional scripture (the Book of Mormon). People always argue the Bible says you should not add to the Bible, but they cite to Revelations, which in all actuallity was not the last book, but just put there by those who put together the Bible for flow purposes. So, if we are to take the scripture literally, many other books in the Bible would also be irrelevant. (There is also a scripture in the Old Testament which speaks of not adding anything else).
Mormons believe that after this life we will each be judged according to our acts, but that, of course, we are ultimately saved through the grace and mercy of God/Jesus. Because we are each judged individually, there is not just a heaven and hell, but multiple degrees of holiness. Additionally, those who lived there life according to the teachings of Christ and who received essential ordinances (e.g. baptism) can experience eternal progression (but they do not believe they will ever be greater to or equal to God, because His glory also grows - because our good works adds to His glory).
There are a few other things, but this pretty much sums it up. I am being completely straigh and honest. I respect all people regardless of religion and think people should take the time to really learn about others' beliefs, from the horses mouth (otherwise you will be filled with biasis and negativity, as everyone believes theirs in the correct one).

Jeddiah Springfield...or was it Joeseph Smith...that found the seeing stones and stuck a rock to his head, and had visions of a whole other book besides the bible...
And the polygamy issues in history, never understood that actually. The LDS church had to give up polygamy in order for Utah to be admitted as a state in the Union.
Other than the weirdness, the basic tennants of the church are quite a good thing. I've got many Mormon friends and they're all very nice people.

Mormons are a cult that practice under false prophecy, christianity is the real deal of which you walk in true faith with God.
Here is why I say this so you don't think that I'm just babbling on in resentment over anyone's objections to what I believe in.
Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon's church believed that he was confronted by an angel named Mormoni, remember that so you can piece together what I'm trying to say here.
Mormoni in greek,I think it was in greek, means "morning" and remember that they said that an angel appeared to Joseph Smith,God has referred to Lucifer (The Devil) as the"Son of the Morning" among many other names and it is also said that the devil has the power to take a pleasing shape even as an angel of light.
So,what I am getting at is that this angel that appeared to Joseph Smith was actually the Devil himself and if anybody who has heard of or knows anything about the Devil would know or have heard of the Devil being referred to as The Prince of Lies among many other things that describes his wicked ways and his wicked intentions.

Mormons believe they are gods or will become gods when they populate their own planets!
NOTHING to do with Christianity at all.
Even a different Jesus. Mormons believe that Jesus was Lucifer's BROTHER!
